VICE PRESIDENT, KING RANCH, FORT MYERS

The King Ranch has 20,000 acres of farmland in the Everglades Agricultural Area. Hutchcraft leads strategic planning, land use and lobbying for the ranch. “Success in agriculture not only requires that you are a good producer, but it also requires an understanding of property rights, emerging trends, educating the public, navigating governmental regulations, and rapidly responding to unforeseen events,” he says.

EDUCATION University of Florida (BA, MS)
CIVIC IMPACT King Ranch has allowed me to serve eight years on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry counties. I have seen the positive impact that a safe and affordable home can make in the lives of our neighbors.
SOMETHING SURPRISING I am an avid kayaker and have even built my own wooden touring kayak. My real passion is whitewater kayaking.
