STEVE HOGAN

CEO, FLORIDA CITRUS SPORTS, ORLANDO

Florida Citrus Sports is a non-profit event management organization. It hosts the Florida Blue Florida Classic, Camping World Bowl and VRBO Citrus Bowl, which dates back to 1947, when the game was founded as a fundraiser for a local children’s hospital. Florida Citrus Sports employs about 30 full-time staff, in addition to seasonal staff and hundreds of volunteers who assist throughout the season. Hogan has been CEO since 2006.

EDUCATION University of Central Florida (BS)
SOMETHING SURPRISING Although I made my college football team at UCF, I invested far more time in marching band in high school.
FLORIDA ISSUE Workforce housing and transportation, attracting more companies with high-wage jobs and tackling some of the pockets of concentrated poverty
ALTERNATE CAREER? I could have seen myself as a broadcaster, but knowing what I know today, I’d probably have become a developer.
