Gulf Power, now a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, is the largest energy provider in Northwest Florida, with almost 470,000 customers in eight counties. It employs almost 900. Santos joined Gulf Power in January 2019, after NextEra bought Gulf. She was chief intergration officer at NextEra for almost four years before joining Gulf and before that spent 37 years at Florida Power & Light, another NextEra subsidiary.
