Tampa Electric provides electricity to 780,000 customers in West-Central Florida and employs about 2,500. Tower started her career as an accountant at Ernst & Young, where one of her clients was Emera (now TECO’s parent company). Eventually, she left to work for Emera. She became Tampa Electric’s president and CEO in December 2017.

|CIVIC EFFORT||In 2019, I chaired the Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Suncoast chapter. TECO and its employees supported the cause in a big way — contributing nearly $90,000 to the event. I am very proud to work with such compassionate people.|
|FLORIDA ISSUE||We believe residents of Florida and customers of Tampa Electric want us to be good stewards of the environment. We have been building solar generation and recently announced plans to add even more solar.|
