PRESIDENT & CEO, CELEBRITY CRUISES, MIAMI
Celebrity Cruises, part of the Royal Caribbean group, operates a fleet of 14 ships and employs some 20,000. The line journeys to all seven continents, visiting nearly 300 destinations in more than 70 countries. The company, she says, pioneered many industry firsts at sea, including the first use of solar panels on a cruise ship. It was the first cruise line to eliminate plastic water bottles; the first to hire an American female captain, all-female bridge and officer team; and one of the first to perform legal same-sex weddings at sea.
|PROFESSIONAL EVOLUTION||This past year, I have learned to pivot my leadership style. It has made me a better leader as I have had to dial up and dial back certain leadership attributes to get myself and my team and employees through this really difficult time and keep them motivated and optimistic about the future.|
|SOMETHING SURPRISING||I am from New England and was an avid Patriots fan, but I realized I am really an avid Tom Brady fan! I became a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, and my sisters and I were thrilled when he won his seventh ring this year.|
|SABBATICAL TOPIC||I would advocate for those who need a voice or who are disenfranchised. We still have a long way to go in that regard.|
