Some 18 years ago, Talenfeld founded Florida’s Children First, the state’s leading advocacy organization for protecting the rights of foster and at-risk youth. “There was an urgent need to give children a voice, individually and systemically, and improve Florida’s child protection systems,” he says. This year, his Talenfeld Law joined forces with the Kelley Kronenberg firm to create the Justice for Kids Division of Kelley Kronenberg, one of the largest private practices in the U.S. devoted solely to protecting abused, disabled and catastrophically injured children.
