PRESIDENT & CEO, FLAGLER HEALTH+, ST. AUGUSTINE
Flagler, a community hospital with a 130-year history of serving Northeast Florida, is the oldest self-governing health system in the state. In addition to running the system’s hospital and medical facilities, Barrett has led the formation of a subsidiary — Flagler Health+ Care Connect — to address social determinants of health in a coordinated way throughout all of St. Johns County, aligning resources into a single access point to increase coordination and access for people in need. “We have transformed our organization from a hospital-centric system to a total care enterprise,” he says.
