PRESIDENT & CEO, FLAGLER HEALTH+, ST. AUGUSTINE
Flagler, historically known as a community hospital with a 130-year history of serving Northeast Florida, is the oldest self-governing health system in the state. Barrett runs the system’s hospital and medical facilities and has led the formation of a subsidiary — Flagler Health+ Care Connect — to address social determinants of health throughout all of St. Johns County. Barrett says the system transforms what was once a hospital stay into a 365-day-a-year relationship. He has been an executive at Flagler for 18 years.
