Arsht is the founding chair of the Adrienne Arsht Center Foundation in Miami. Since opening in 2006, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts has presented a range of arts programs, including a jazz series, an annual Flamenco Festival and free programs for children. In 2019, Arsht gave $25 million to a foundation to identify and implement solutions to climate change, migration and security. The Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center seeks to enhance the resilience of 1 billion people by 2030. Arsht was awarded the Carnegie Hall 2017 Medal of Excellence recognizing her visionary and outstanding contributions to cultural and non-profit institutions nationally. She is the first woman to receive the distinction.
