The Magic put together an internal social justice task force to solve diversity, equity and inclusion issues in the wake of racial unrest nationwide last year. Comprised of Magic staff members and its affiliate organizations (Solar Bears, Lakeland Magic and Magic Gaming), the task force was created to promote “peaceful and necessary social change,” Gonzalez says.
