LINDA LANDMAN GONZALEZ

VICE PRESIDENT COMMUNITY AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS, ORLANDO MAGIC; PRESIDENT, ORLANDO MAGIC YOUTH FOUNDATION, ORLANDO

The Magic put together an internal social justice task force to solve diversity, equity and inclusion issues in the wake of racial unrest nationwide last year. Comprised of Magic staff members and its affiliate organizations (Solar Bears, Lakeland Magic and Magic Gaming), the task force was created to promote “peaceful and necessary social change,” Gonzalez says.

EDUCATION Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (BS)
SOMETHING SURPRISING I was born in N.Y.C., studied, lived and worked in Mexico City for 15 years, and I have traveled to 51 countries.
NEW HOBBY I have taken up photography. The pandemic made me want to see beyond my four walls and use a different lens to see my home, my garden and my neighborhood.
WORRIES ABOUT We are a nation divided. Liberty and justice for all should be more than words in our pledge of allegiance.
