JUAN CARLOS LISCANO

Born in Colombia, Liscano grew up in Queens, N.Y., and has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a bachelor’s and MBA from Florida International University.
Liscano is responsible for all airport operations for American Airlines, the dominant carrier at Miami International Airport. Miami is American’s largest international hub, cargo hub and the carrier’s gateway to Latin America. Liscano, who joined the airline in 1994, has held numerous leadership positions for American, including director of its Los Angeles hub. In his current role, he oversees some 13,500 employees. A cyclist and scuba diver, Liscano also serves on the board of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is a sponsor of American’s Latin Diversity Network employee business resource group.
