Jaber founded the Jaber Group after serving two terms on the Florida Public Service Commission, which regulates utilities. It provides strategic advice to national utility clients on regulatory and economic development issues. The practice includes utility-specific matters in energy, water and telecommunications and extends to C-level business strategy development. Jaber also founded the Florida's Women in Energy Leadership Forum, which is now in its 11th year, and aims to inspire and motivate the next generation of energy leaders.

DAILY RITUAL: Clients and colleagues consider me a strategist. I prioritize quiet time, visual planning and iterative thinking. Using a whiteboard helps me map ideas, refine strategy and restart when needed. Embracing how I think best allows me to clarify opportunities — and once I see the path clearly, gaining buy-in becomes much easier.

INDUSTRY TREND: Data center growth is increasing scrutiny of energy demand, water capacity and cost allocation. Policymakers are redefining “large load” customers and strengthening accountability standards. The key challenge is balancing economic development with fair cost distribution so residential customers are not overburdened. At the same time, large users can support grid resilience and infrastructure investment. Innovations such as the responsible use of AI are improving efficiency, resource management and decision-making across the energy ecosystem.

IN MY DOWNTIME: I love a good thrift shop.

FOOD FIX: Like many families, breakfast for dinner is common in our house, especially after a long day with little time for meal prep. Family favorite: scrambled eggs and potatoes.
