DAVID A. ODAHOWSKI

PRESIDENT, CEO & TRUSTEE, EDYTH BUSH CHARITABLE FOUNDATION, WINTER PARK

Edyth Bush and her husband started their foundation half a century ago after they amassed a fortune by helping to build the 3M company. Today the $100-million-plus charitable boutique investment firm is one of Central Florida’s leading grant-making institutions, working at the intersection of business, government and nonprofits. Its relatively new headquarters, named The Edyth, is a showcase and training center for nonprofits. Odahowski, considered by some the “dean of Florida philanthropy,” has led the foundation for more than three decades. “We fund work that business and government either will not or cannot fund,” he says. He’s also one of the founders of the Florida Philanthropic Network.
