Daniel Robinson
Founder & CEO, Red6, Orlando
Robinson, born in the United Kingdom, started his career in the Royal Air Force and served as a fighter pilot, flying the Tornado F3. He earned the distinction of becoming the first non-American to pilot the most capable fighter plane in the world, the F-22 Raptor. He went on to work in finance and then returned to England to lead his family’s construction company. He saw the need to improve training access for pilots, so the former fighter pilot founded Red 6 in 2018. The company creates an augmented reality-training system for combat pilots, layering synthetic images over the real world through a pilot’s visor as he’s flying. Robinson moved the company’s headquarters to Florida, and in addition to securing tens of millions of dollars in investment, has struck deals with Boeing and the British aerospace company BAE Systems.
