William Brett McGill

CEO & President, MarineMax, Clearwater

MarineMax, the world’s largest lifestyle retailer of recreational boats and yachts, yacht concierge and superyacht services, reported $2.4 billion in 2023 revenue. That figure is likely to increase after its spring purchase of Pompano Beach-based William Tenders USA, a boat distributer and retailer. William Tenders makes rigid inflatable jet tenders for the luxury yacht market. McGill, who has been CEO since 2018, says the deal fits with MarineMax’s “growth strategy of acquiring high-quality businesses.” Before the purchase, MarineMax had more than 3,900 team members at more than 125 worldwide locations, including 78 dealerships and 58 marinas. The company’s integrated businesses include: IGY Marinas, which operates luxury marinas in yachting and sport fishing destinations around the world; Fraser Yachts Group and Northrop & Johnson, superyacht brokerage and luxury yacht services companies; Cruisers Yachts, a manufacturer of sport yachts and motor yachts; and Intrepid Powerboats, a premier manufacturer of powerboats.
