EDUCATION: Purdue University (BS), Indiana University (MHA)
IF I WERE GOVERNOR: We have a duty and responsibility to cultivate healthy and thriving communities. Healthy communities begin with healthy kids so we must advocate for our children. It is imperative we inspire and incentivize our leaders and communities to work together to problem solve and identify solutions.
INSPIRING FLORIDIAN: My dad, Tuck 'Hugh' Schulhof, helped all whom he encountered. From being an attorney to finding a passion for music leading him to vice president for development for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Dad had a decorated career.
MOTIVATIONAL MANTRA: Work hard, play hard, and do good for others! I believe our purpose is to lead a life of service to help others by being kind and taking care of others, both professionally and personally. As president, I make sure to find the time to walk the halls of the hospital, talk to families and staff and observe care in order to continually improve.
WHAT I’VE LEARNED
“Live with integrity, care well for your people. Integrity is the most important quality of a person’s character, which means being transparent and true to your word.”
