EDUCATION: Florida Atlantic University (BA), University of South Florida (MBA), University of Miami School of Medicine (MD)
READING: 21 Lessons for the 21st Century, by Yuval Noah Harari. It is a fascinating book that delves into what the century is going to look like regarding AI, robotics, computers and globalization.
INSPIRING FLORIDIAN: The only job more difficult than the spouse of an obstetrician may be the spouse of a health system CEO. My wife Becky has done both flawlessly while carrying the majority of the responsibility for raising our three daughters. She changed hundreds of lives as a pediatric occupational therapist, treating children with physical and developmental disabilities. She has inspired me for 45 years.
WHAT I’VE LEARNED: Given my years as an OB/GYN, one valuable lesson I learned is the profound significance and preciousness of life. Working in obstetrics involves witnessing the miracle of birth, guiding expectant parents through the journey of pregnancy, and sometimes confronting the fragility of life during challenging medical situations. Through these experiences, I learned to cherish and appreciate the value of every life.
