JASON LIBERTY

PRESIDENT & CEO, ROYAL CARIBBEAN GROUP, MIAMI

The cruise ships keep getting bigger and bigger. This year, Royal Caribbean Group added the “Icon-class” ship Star of the Seas, to be based at Port Canaveral. With room for more than 5,600 passengers, it’s a sister ship to Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world. The company’s 60 ships carry more than 7.5 million guests a year to ports across the globe. Liberty joined the company in 2005 after working as a senior manager with accounting firm KPMG. At Royal Caribbean, he worked his way up the corporate ladder. As CEO, he helped navigate the company through the COVID pandemic’s unprecedented challenges.
