RANDY HASSEN

CEO, MCKIBBON HOSPITALITY, TAMPA

Long before being named CEO in 2022, Hassen started at the bottom. He began his career with McKibbon in 1991 with a part-time job at a Days Inn in Athens, Ga., carrying luggage at $4.50 an hour. McKibbon is a family-owned hotel management company that works with brands such as Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt. McKibbon also is purchasing hotels through an internal investment fund. Hassen helped forge a partnership between McKibbon and USF to give hospitality students experience in an innovative hospitality teaching-lab program. Most of his evenings are spent with his wife and two sons attending soccer, basketball or hockey practice.
