Carol Craig
Founder & CEO, Craig Technologies and Sidus Space, MerritT Island
Craig continues reaching new heights, as Sidus Space sent its first satellite, a LizzieSat-1, into space last March on a SpaceX transporter. The satellite houses FeatherEdge, Sidus Space’s high-performance artificial intelligence delivery platform that can provide customized rapid intelligence delivery missions for industry, academia and government customers. Sidus Space was the first space-related company founded by a woman to go public on the Nasdaq stock market. Craig, a computer scientist and engineer, is accustomed to creating firsts. She was the first female aviator in her U.S. Navy squadron. She started Craig Technologies in 1999 to serve government and private sector customers with engineering, technology and manufacturing solutions. Its subsidiary, Craig Technologies Aerospace Solutions, has a state-of-the-art facility that supports precision machining, fabrication and assembly for prototypes and other equipment for Boeing, United Launch Alliance, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Pacific Scientific, NASA and other government and commercial customers. Craig added Sidus Space to her portfolio in 2012. It has a 35,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing facility.
