MOEZ LIMAYEM
PRESIDENT, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA, JACKSONVILLE
Limayem took the reins of University of North Florida in 2022 after a decade as dean of the University of South Florida’s business college. Before that, he was the associate dean for research and graduate programs at the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business. Originally from Tunisia, Limayem worked as a systems analyst and computing consultant in the private sector before moving into academia. He came to the United States in 1985 to study for his MBA Ph.D. at Minnesota University. He taught at universities across the globe, including Laval University in Canada, City University of Hong Kong and Lausanne University in Switzerland, before landing at USF in 2012. Under Limayem’s leadership, UNF aims to become a top 100 public university as ranked by U.S. News & World Report by 2028 and grow the school’s enrollment to 25,000. He’s already delivering on multiple other goals, including growing private fundraising to a 2023 fiscal year-end total of $27 million — a 25% increase over the previous year.
