George Hagerty
President, Beacon College, Leesburg
Since becoming president of Beacon College in 2013, Hagerty has helped redefine what higher education can achieve for students with learning differences. Under his leadership, the nation's first accredited college exclusively serving neurodivergent students has experienced transformative growth, more than doubling enrollment, increasing graduation rates and earning national recognition for student success. Hagerty has championed a model that prioritizes individualized support while preparing graduates for meaningful careers and independent lives. Before joining Beacon, he served as president of University Advisors International, provost and university professor at the Hellenic American University in Athens, Greece, and was president of Franklin Pierce University.
