PRESIDENT & CEO, VISIT TAMPA BAY, TAMPA BAY

Visit Tampa Bay works with hundreds of partners to tell the world the story of Tampa Bay. It promotes the area as an attractive travel destination, enhancing its public image as a dynamic place to live and work. “We were listed in Time magazine’s 2023 greatest places on earth and recently added more star restaurants in the Michelin Guide, and Conde Nast Traveler named Tampa as Florida’s ‘It’ City,” Corrada says.

EDUCATION: University of Miami (BS, M.Ed)

READING: I like books that provide daily inspiration and a road map to lead a better life, so today I would recommend Leadership Promises for Every Day by John C. Maxwell. Great book combining leadership with spirituality.

INSPIRING FLORIDIAN: For me, representing Tampa, it would have to be Henry B. Plant. He opened Tampa to the rest of the country, enough said.

WHAT I’VE LEARNED: The single most important lesson I have learned over time is to have the ability to be open-minded and to be sensitive to different perspectives. We do not always have to agree but we can be civil about those disagreements and try to find common ground.
