The Florida Trucking Association serves as the sole state liaison between the trucking industry and the legislative, regulatory and judicial branches of state and federal government. It is one of 50 state trucking associations affiliated with the American Trucking Associations, representing every sector of trucking — from agriculture and auto transport to private fleets and logistics services. Miller has served as President and CEO since 2021.

FIRST JOB: Ballet dancer for Albany Berkshire Ballet when I was 15 years old. I earned a whopping $100 honorarium for touring the Northeast and Canada during The Nutcracker season, which (almost) covered the cost of two pairs of pointe shoes — but, like most career choices I’ve made, it was a foot in the door.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: If I could choose an alternate career, I would return to academia as a university president.

SOMETHING SURPRISING: I’ve never needed an alarm clock to wake up at exactly the minute I decide the night before — even for those 5 a.m. flights.
