HNTB employs more than 7,000 people nationwide, including nearly 800 in Florida. It provides design, engineering, program management and consulting services for transportation agencies, airports, localities and construction contractors, working on projects to improve roads, airports and public transit systems. Kigel has been with HNTB for more than seven years. As chair of the Florida Polytechnic University board of trustees, she also helps guide the growth of Florida's only public STEM university and has served on the Florida Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

PERSONAL RESET: A recent breast cancer journey reminded me that setbacks are temporary, but attitude is a choice. I focus on what I can control, maintain a positive outlook, keep my eye on the prize and draw strength from an incredible support network.

Florida has emerged as a national leader through strategic investments in infrastructure, policy and public-private partnerships that support eVTOL aircraft and advanced aviation technologies.
