JUAN CARLOS LISCANO

Liscano joined American Airlines right out of college in 1994, working as an operations agent for American Eagle out of Miami International Airport. Today, he oversees all airport operations at MIA, which is American’s biggest international hub, and with more than 14,600 team members is the third largest for-profit employer in Miami-Dade County. Liscano, who was born in Colombia and grew up in Queens, N.Y., earned his MBA from Florida International University and received bachelor’s degrees from Florida International University and Indiana University. He serves on the board of directors for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Miami-Dade Beacon Council and the United Way of Miami-Dade.
