NOTABLE TRENDS: 1) The advance of technology gives us occasion to reflect on what human qualities and activities we most value. 2) The economy has scraped away much of Americans' discretionary income. 3) At the same time, cultural institutions are finding new ways to tell stories to reach broader and more diverse audiences. These shifts are creating exciting opportunities to make museums more accessible, relevant and engaging than ever before.
