Garfinkel looked at a 30-year-old stadium with orange seats and saw its potential. He's been a force behind the transformation of Hard Rock Stadium into an entertainment destination capable of hosting major events such as Formula 1 car racing with the Miami Grand Prix, the Miami Open tennis tournament, the Super Bowl, concerts and this year, FIFA World Cup soccer matches. Meanwhile, despite the Miami Dolphins' underwhelming performance on the football field, the NFL franchise has kept increasing its revenue. That's credited to Garfinkel, who changed how the team approached ticket sales and the game-day experience. He has also continued the growth of the Dolphins Cancer Challenge initiative, which has raised tens of millions of dollars for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami.
