TOM GARFINKEL

PRESIDENT & CEO, MIAMI DOLPHINS/HARD ROCK STADIUM, MIAMI

Despite the team’s underwhelming performance on the football field, the Miami Dolphins franchise keeps increasing its revenue. That’s credited to Garfinkel, who changed how the team approached ticket sales and the game-day experience. “We looked at the fan experience across every aspect,” he told the University of Colorado’s alumni magazine. He’s known for being a force behind the transformation of Hard Rock Stadium into an entertainment destination capable of hosting major events such as the Super Bowl, Formula 1 car racing, the Miami Open tennis tournament, concerts, and in 2026, the FIFA World Cup. He has also continued the growth of the Dolphins Cancer Challenge initiative, which has raised tens of millions of dollars for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami.
