TOM GARFINKEL

PRESIDENT & CEO, MIAMI DOLPHINS/HARD ROCK STADIUM, MIAMI

When Garfinkel arrived a decade ago, the Miami Dolphins “had a 27-year-old stadium with a bunch of parking lots.” Garfinkel is credited with being a force behind the transformation of the Hard Rock Stadium and some of its surrounding area into an entertainment destination capable of hosting major events such as the Super Bowl, Formula 1 car racing, the Miami Open tennis tournament, concerts, and in 2026, the FIFA World Cup. Garfinkel has helped continue the growth of the Dolphins Challenge Cancer initiative, which has raised more than $64 million in donations toward its $75-million commitment to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami.
