ELYSE LIPMAN

CEO, LIPMAN FAMILY FARMS, NAPLES

The story of Lipman Family Farms began in New York City in the 1930s, when Max and Ella Lipman sold produce out of a single tomato cart. The couple moved to Florida in the 1950s to be closer to the fields and grew the business into North America’s largest supplier of tomatoes and fresh vegetables. Max and Ella’s great-granddaughter, Elyse Lipman, has worked at the fifth-generation family business since 2019 and has served as CEO since 2023. Before that, she worked for the World Economic Forum. She also worked as a photo editor for National Geographic Magazine special issues and other publications, including the New York Times, Time Out and Conde Nast. Looking to the future, Lipman embraces technology and focuses on mentoring the next generation of ag leaders through the company’s internship and management training programs and its Women of Lipman group. “I have a daughter of my own. Our efforts today are equally, if not more important, for seeding future generations of female leaders,” Lipman told The Snack Magazine industry publication last year.
