MALLORY L. DIMMITT
CEO, FLORIDA WILDLIFE CORRIDOR FOUNDATION, ST. PETERSBURG
The Florida Wildlife Corridor Foundation champions a collaborative campaign to permanently connect, protect and restore the Florida Wildlife Corridor. It’s known for expeditions and films, “Mind The Gaps” workshops focused on filling conservation gaps in the corridor and the biennial Corridor Connect summit, as well as advocacy work in support of consistent, high-level funding for Florida’s land protection programs: Florida Forever and the Rural and Family Lands Protection Program.
EDUCATION: University of the South (BS), Duke University (MS)
SOMETHING SURPRISING: I love the Florida State Fair! My grandfather used to take us as kids, and I still enjoy the ag exhibits, Cracker Country and the fried food, of course.
NONPROFIT PASSION: I volunteer my time for Love IV Lawrence, a foundation established in memory of my brother who died by suicide.
INDUSTRY TREND: Interest in conservation easements continues to grow across the Florida Wildlife Corridor, which is a win-win for conserving land, water and wildlife habitat while keeping working lands in production and under private ownership and management.
