BELINDA KEISER
VICE CHANCELLOR, KEISER UNIVERSITY, FORT LAUDERDALE
Founded in 1977, Keiser University is one of Florida’s largest private, nonprofit universities. It has about 20,000 students and some 4,000 team members on campuses throughout Florida, online and internationally. The university has an annual economic impact in Florida of $3 billion and helps address the workforce needs of the state. As a former member of the board of directors for Enterprise Florida and Space Florida, Keiser has worked on increasing homegrown talent and recruiting employers in health care, aerospace, financial services and information technology. She’s also a member of the Florida Commission on the Status of Women.

FIRST JOB: My first professional job was with the National Health Screening Counsel which was based in Bethesda, Md. The organization worked with the National Institutes of Health to promote wellness and health initiatives.
DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: Serving as a member of the Florida Legislature. I’m passionate about using my background in education, health care and workforce development to shape policies and secure resources that directly improve the lives of Floridians. Public service offers a powerful way to create lasting, positive changes across communities.
