TIMOTHY E. MOORE
PRESIDENT, INDIAN RIVER STATE COLLEGE, FORT PIERCE
Indian River State College serves Florida’s Treasure Coast with 130 academic programs, workforce training and community education. It employs approximately 1,900. More than 50% of the school’s 23,000 enrolled students are first-generation, and the college’s philanthropy-funded Promise Program provides tuition-free associate degrees. Moore has served as president since 2020. Under his leadership and with state support, the school launched its Eastman Workforce Training Complex — which provides hands-on training in high-demand industries — doubled the size of its nursing program and is launching the Okeechobee Data Center to serve as an operational data center and provide training for students in IT, cybersecurity and other fields.

MENTEE IMPACT: I mentored Dr. Bridget Peters, a Ph.D. scientist transitioning to medicine. Through targeted mentorship, we discussed and prepared for the opportunities and rigors of pursuing a medical degree. Now, she is a practicing physician in South Carolina.
