PRESIDENT & CEO, FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COMPANY, JUNO BEACH

Bores has worked for Florida Power & Light — the nation's largest electric utility and a subsidiary of NextEra Energy — for more than 15 years. He was serving as vice president of finance until December, when he was promoted to president. In May, he added the role of CEO. The utility and its nearly 10,000 employees serve more than 12 million customers across the state. Bores is also a licensed certified public accountant in Georgia and serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

FOOD FIX: After a long day, I lean toward comfort food. Chicken wings are at the top of my list.

GIVING BACK: I love giving back to my community. Personally, I'm passionate about supporting the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida and its mission to conserve our state's lands, waters and wildlife. Florida is such a special place, and the foundation's important work helps make sure future generations can enjoy it, too.
