HENRY K. BROWN

CEO, MILLER ELECTRIC CO., JACKSONVILLE

Last year, Miller Electric was acquired by Connecticut-based EMCOR Group, a Fortune 500 construction company, where Miller now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary. Brown is the third generation of his family to lead Miller Electric. Founded in 1928, it's a leading commercial electrical contractor in the Southeast. Joining the company in 2001, Brown has been CEO since 2012. Under his leadership, the company has more than quadrupled in volume and expanded to more than 5,000 employees.

EDUCATION: Stetson University (BBA, MACC)

DAILY RITUAL: Intentionally slow start to the mornings with time for thinking, reading the news, morning emails and exercise. Staying connected to our leadership team and prioritizing time with family helps keep me grounded and focused.

NOTABLE TRENDS: Continued electrification, rapid data center expansion, healthcare and infrastructure investment, and the increasing role of technology and AI in improving safety, productivity and project delivery.

PERSONAL RESET: Time on the water with my family always helps me relax and get back to what's important in life.

IN MY DOWNTIME

“I love architecture, design and all things in real estate. I am currently deep in the design process for our new beach house.”
