EDUCATION: University of Central Florida (BSBA), Rollins College (MBA)
READING: What Got You Here Won’t Get You There, by Marshall Goldsmith, is a great book about growing and adapting to change. I’m also a big reader of The Wall Street Journal.
INSPIRATIONAL FLORIDIAN: Dr. John Hitt, the fourth president of UCF, who passed away last year. In a really short period, he was able to take the university so far beyond what anyone else thought was possible.
MOTIVATIONAL MANTRA: Hard work pays off. This applies in business, of course, but is an attitude to adopt across the board to achieve your highest potential.
WHAT I’VE LEARNED
“Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. There’s always going to be something you can’t control, and you don’t want to lose yourself in the process. Focus on being able to adapt to change, being a good listener and a good partner to those around you.”
