MATTHEW ZUINO
PRESIDENT & CEO, BAPTIST HEALTH, JACKSONVILLE
Founded in 1955, Baptist Health is Northeast Florida's only locally headquartered and governed, faith-based, not-for-profit healthcare system. It has six hospitals, 10 emergency centers, more than 15,000 employees and more than 2,900 providers. In 2025, Baptist Health hospitals totaled nearly $269 million in community benefit and uncompensated care. Zuino, who joined Baptist Health in 2017, was named CEO in November 2025.
EDUCATION: Widener University (BS), Drexel University (MS)
NOTABLE TREND: Healthcare is being pushed to move beyond treating illness to improving health and real impact. Consumers expect easier access and better experiences. We must also embrace teaching, learning and research as core capabilities to drive innovation and improve outcomes at scale.
IN MY DOWNTIME: I honestly enjoy cleaning and staying organized. There's something about bringing order to things that clears my head. My wife would tell you I also like to step back and admire my work.
FOOD FIX: My wife Nicole's chicken cutlets and her double-stuffed baked potato — yummm.
