EMMETT REED
CEO, FLORIDA HEALTH CARE ASSOCIATION, TALLAHASSEE
The FHCA is the state’s largest and leading long-term care association, representing 86% of the state’s nursing centers and other long-term care facilities. Since taking the helm in 2009, Reed has led FHCA members through hurricanes, a pandemic, historic workforce and economic challenges and changes of member ownership, while sustaining membership growth. “I keep members engaged and focus on out-of-the-box thinking to achieve success, so members see the return on their investment,” he says. Reed serves nationally as an officer for the Affiliated State Health Care Association Executives and is a member of the American Health Care Association’s Council for Post-Acute Care.
