Strong took the helm of Orlando Health a decade ago and has seen the private, nonprofit health care system through a period of significant growth, expanding through the acquisitions of Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, five hospitals in Alabama and three Steward Health Care hospitals in Brevard County and the construction of new facilities across the I-4 corridor. Through a partnership with Doctors’ Center Hospital, the system also serves Puerto Rico. With $12 billion of assets under management, Orlando Health employs 38,100 staff and more than 1,750 physicians. More than 5,950 physicians have privileges across the system. Orlando Health provided nearly $1.7 billion in community impact in FY2023 through community benefit programs and services, community-building activities and capital investments.
