PRESIDENT, USHER LAND & TIMBER, CHIEFLAND
Griner heads the cattle side of the family-owned company Usher Land & Timber, managing beef bulls and a cow-calf program with around 850 heifers and hundreds of calves. He was elected as president of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association in 2017. He serves on the Forestry Advisory Committee of the Florida Farm Bureau and was named an Outstanding Rancher and Leader by Farm Credit of Florida and the Florida Cattlemen’s Association in 2016. Usher Land & Timber has received various environmental stewardship awards, including Florida Audubon’s Sustainable Forestry Award and the Logger of the Year Award from the Florida Forestry Association. The Griners also lead a volunteer program, Log-A-Load for Kids, that has raised more than $1 million for the Children’s Miracle Network at the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital in Gainesville.
