RHEA F. LAW
PRESIDENT, UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA, TAMPA
Law formally became USF’s eighth president in 2022, the first alumnus to lead the school with 50,000 students. She worked in its Office of Sponsored Research while earning her bachelor’s degree in management, then went on to be a member of its original board of trustees. During her tenure, USF was invited to join the prestigious Association of American Universities. Law also created the state’s first college of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and computing. Before becoming USF president, she was CEO at the Fowler White Boggs law firm, which merged with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney in 2014. She also has a passion for fast things. “Over the years, I’ve enjoyed both building and driving race cars, and I’ve entered races across the Southeast. It’s an energizing experience to design, build and fine-tune a machine that embodies speed, precision and performance.”
