DON DEFOSSET

CHAIRMAN, DJD GROUP, TAMPA

The former CEO of Walter Industries founded his own investment group in 2009 focusing on high-growth, early-stage businesses and serves on several corporate and civic boards. He chairs the executive board for the New York-based private equity firm ATL Partners, which is part of ATL’s portfolio, focusing on buyout opportunities in aerospace, transportation and logistics. DeFosset also serves on the board for Terex, a global industrial equipment manufacturer, and ITT, which makes highly engineered critical components for the transportation, industrial and energy markets. He is a chairman emeritus at the University of Tampa and serves on boards for the Tampa Sports Authority, the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center Foundation and just completed a term on the Florida Council of 100 board.
