MICHAEL D. MINTON
SHAREHOLDER, DEAN MEAD, FORT PIERCE
Previously president of Dean Mead, shareholder Michael D. Minton now leads the law firm’s agribusiness industry and solar and renewable energy teams. His four decades of experience in Florida agriculture help generational agricultural businesses with their organizational structures, federal income, estate and gift tax planning, and business succession planning. Among his various involvements, Minton is a member of the Florida Bar Tax Section, previously serving as its 2018-19 chair, and a board member for the University of Florida Foundation — his alma mater, where he eventually earned a Master of Laws in Taxation as a triple graduate. As former co-chair of the UCF Charter Class Scholarship Committee, he helped provide full scholarships for the University of Central Florida College of Medicine’s 2009 inaugural class. He was the first resident of the Treasure Coast to receive the 2023-24 Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year award from The Florida Bar Tax Section.
