MARK MORSE

PRESIDENT & CEO, THE VILLAGES, THE VILLAGES

Morse succeeded his late father, H. Gary Morse, as head of The Villages in 2014 and has overseen massive expansion at the 55-plus community. It now stretches 57 square miles and is home to more than 150,000 people. That includes adding Middleton, a community without age restrictions to serve the community’s workforce that has its own charter high school. Politically influential yet media shy, Morse casts The Villages’ active lifestyle — with golf courses, pickleball courts, recreation centers and dozens of clubs — as an elixir for older residents. “And that’s what The Villages is all about ... that activity and that social connectivity and that energy is a blessing for health.”
