CHARU RAHEJA
CEO, TRIAGELOGIC, JACKSONVILLE
Raheja began her career as a finance professor at a university but left academia in 2007 and co-founded TriageLogic, which provides software and services for telehealth and remote patient monitoring. Raheja says she started the company to empower nurses (most of whom are women) to work from home with control over their schedules. The company — which serves over 22,000 physicians and covers over 40 million lives nationwide — offers a unique blend of innovative communication solutions with medical expertise to improve patient outcomes and decrease health care expenses.
EDUCATION: University of Florida (BS), New York University (MPhil), New York University (Ph.D.)
FIRST JOB: Tutoring math to a third grader named James when I was 15. Watching his confidence grow as he went from failing to earning A-minuses and Bs was incredibly fulfilling.
DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: I would dedicate myself to empowering women in poor and underserved communities to start and grow their own businesses. By helping women gain economic independence and leadership skills, we can create ripple effects that uplift families, support children and inspire future generations.
MENTEE IMPACT: I mentored a young entrepreneur in Jacksonville at the early stages of launching his business, guiding him through critical areas like payroll, finance, contracts and negotiation. With that foundation, he grew into a confident leader, was selected for Leadership Jacksonville and built a company with a statewide presence.
NONPROFIT PASSION: I’m passionate about supporting the American Heart Association. After surviving a life-threatening stroke, I’ve dedicated myself to raising awareness about stroke prevention and recovery.
