TIM GIULIANI
PRESIDENT & CEO, ORLANDO ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP, ORLANDO
A private-public partnership with 40 employees, the Orlando Economic Partnership boasts of creating 21,500 new jobs and attracting $2.5 billion in capital investment over the past seven years. Giuliani’s efforts have inspired the creation of the country’s first regional digital twin as well as award-winning leadership programs for executives, young professionals, Black leaders and women. Under his leadership, the Orlando Economic Partnership was part of a coalition that helped Osceola County’s NeoCity be chosen as one of only 21 communities across the nation to win the Build Back Better Regional Challenge, receiving $50.8 million (from the federal government) to spur jobs, investment and reshoring of semiconductor microchip R&D and manufacturing.
EDUCATION: Florida State University (BA), University of Florida (MBA)
MENTORS: My St. Augustine High baseball coach Jeff Holland, and Nancy Birchall. Both ingrained leadership skills through their work.
WHAT I’VE LEARNED: The importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving success. Alignment is gained by working together towards common goals. This alignment is critical to a region’s success and Orlando has many examples to prove that coming together to do big things is really the only way to achieve progress. There are no superheroes in civic work.
