Barreto Group is a diversified company with interests in real estate development, hospitality, title insurance, lending and business consulting. Barreto has been CEO since its inception in 1988. He has served as chairman of the Miami Super Bowl Host Committee three times, has served as chairman of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission under three governors and has served on the board of several nonprofits. This year, he is chair of Miami’s FIFA World Cup Host Committee.

FIRST JOB: A city of Miami police officer. As a result, I have great respect and admiration for the law enforcement community and the work that they do to protect us every day.
DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: A professional golfer (assuming I had the talent!)
SOMETHING SURPRISING: I have a serious love for Cheetos.
INDUSTRY TREND: The shift, across many sectors, to focus on hospitality. Whether it’s real estate development, social venues, retail, or even golf course operations, people want to have a good time and that means business sectors need to make sure they make people feel good and want to come back, buy more, etc.
