PRESIDENT AND CEO, MASSEY SERVICES, ORLANDO

With more than 2,900 employees, Massey Services is one of the largest pest management companies in the industry, providing service to nearly 1 million customers in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia and Tennessee. Massey joined the company in 1989, became president in 2006 and was promoted to CEO in 2021.

FIRST JOB: As a teenager, I began working in the pest industry for Terminix when my father was a senior vice president for the company. I did a variety of tasks in termite work, including crawl spaces, repair and ventilation.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: When I was growing up, my first dream was to be a professional hockey player. When that didn’t pan out, I wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon. I also enjoyed math, so my undergraduate degree is in corporate finance and investment management. However, I realized after graduating that corporate banking wasn’t for me. That’s when I decided I wanted to work alongside my dad in the family business, and I haven’t looked back since.
