Better Together empowers parents across 54 Florida counties to overcome crises without losing their children to foster care. Better Together’s volunteers have served more than 10,000 children while helping parents find jobs, homes, treatment and more. Rose has led the organization since 2015. “We are expanding our family support programs across Florida to connect helpers to the hurting — one person, one family and one community at a time,” she says.

EDUCATION: Liberty University (BS, MA)

FIRST JOB: My mom led a single moms’ program at our church, and my first job was babysitting for those moms — often for free or at a reduced rate — to support them while they attended job interviews or simply had a moment to rest.

DREAM ALTERNATE CAREER: I’d be an entrepreneur in the corporate space, building something that adds real value to the community, or run for office to serve in a new way.

HOBBY: I love offshore fishing with my family. We head out far enough that the fish can’t hear my four kids!
