Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) is a privately held, rapidly growing engineering and consulting firm dedicated to providing sustainable engineering practices and solutions. It has 3,500 employees across 80 branches. Witsken was named CEO in 2022. He previously served in management capacities at the BrandSafway civil engineering firm and General Electric.

MOTIVATIONAL MANTRA: Always be optimistic. It’s easy to find reasons to be cynical, and today’s news offers many examples of why to not trust any institution. But cynicism is caustic, and it breeds excuse makers — few things in life are less appealing. Optimism is a daily choice, and I’ll take a positive attitude over pedigree or experience any day.
