A bipartisan consulting firm, LSN Partners has offices in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach County, Tallahassee and Washington, D.C. It provides advice and advocacy in government affairs, government procurement, emergency management, business development and communications. It has about 40 employees. Heckler is a board member of Beyond Differences, a nonprofit founded to mitigate social isolation in middle school. The organization works with over 10,000 schools across the United States, including more than 100 in Miami-Dade County.

IF I WERE GOVERNOR: I would focus more on resiliency and sustainability, healthcare and workforce housing. Florida and its local governments are eligible for billions of federal dollars to upgrade seawalls and secure coastlines. More importantly, I would expand Medicaid. Low-income Floridians need and deserve this benefit.
